What is A Tad Monroe?

A Tad Monroe is a jewelry business based in Texas that offers our customers a variety of stylish accessories via a virtual Trunk Show held every Tuesday night on our Facebook page.

How does it work?

Buying is easy: Simply “like” our page on Facebook and tune in every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. CST when we will post items for sale during our Trunk Show.

We post a picture with a brief description, the amount available, and the price. When you see an item you can’t live without, simply make a comment with the word “SOLD” and your PayPal email address. We will send you an invoice through PayPal and ship within 1-2 days. And the best part—domestic shipping is FREE!

Who are the owners?

It’s always good to know the people behind the business. We are Denise and Lauren—two women who found friendship carrying our designer handbags to any place our young kids/babies had to go. (It was love at first sight…over the accessories, of course!)

While rocking her boots and skinny jeans, Denise manages her household of three kids (7 years, 4 years, and 9 months) by juggling homework and bus schedules, goodies for the preschool, and bows and bottles for the baby girl. She and her husband have been married for 10 years, and her new year’s resolution: Sneak in a date night! The one accessory she can’t leave the house without is a stack of bracelets!

Lauren is the lonesome female in her household, married to her high school sweetheart (insert collective “awww!” here) and mother to two young boys (4 and 2). She balances her part-time job in public relations and the whirlwind of a life with a toddler (some days are better than others!), and even manages to bake cookies once in a while. She makes it look effortless by wearing her fave pearl studs and a bracelet or two…or seven.

How did the business begin?

A Tad Monroe was born from a love designer pieces (we’ve already established that), but not always being able to handle those designer prices! We wanted to find a way to participate in the latest accessory trends without breaking the bank. And we know we aren’t the only ones!

We believe that even the simplest of accessories can transform an outfit and in doing so can help us feel fantastic, confident, and ready to handle whatever comes our way—whether that's a play date, a business date, or (gasp!) a date with the hubs!!

Where did the name come from and what does it mean?

Ok, you caught us. Tad and Monroe are the names of our children. (Monroe is Denise’s precious baby girl, and Tad is Lauren’s spunky toddler!) We wanted a namesake, because we’re cheesy like that.

But really the whole concept of what we offer is wrapped up in the name. A Tad Monroe represents a lot of things…It’s how a woman brightens their day, shows off their personality, and looks and feels their best. It’s a tad precious, a tad spunky, a tad colorful, a tad glamorous, a tad saucy, a tad powerful, a tad sparkly, a tad sophisticated, and a tad lovely. It’s A Tad Monroe.

So whether it’s a special night out, grabbing coffee with a friend, or just running errands, accessorize. Before you go, add A Tad Monroe!
