Five on Friday!

I'm back with five on friday, haven't done in then a while. When you're done reading my five remember to go on over to The Good Life Blog and link up with us!!!

Here we go:

1. For the past 2 weeks I've been dealing with this huge painful lymph node on my neck....no idea what its from or if its going away....had it during my trip but I don't think it bothered me as much cause, well I was drinking a lot, lol. Finally sucked it up and went to the doctor yesterday and can you guess what I have? Never realized it was an actual thing that I have Cat Scratch Fever?! Doctor prescribed pain meds and I should be fine but totally random and weird right? And if you're asking I do have a cat....stupid cat!

2. I'm a big planner and I don't normally get into my personal life much but I get super excited planning parties! I almost went into business doing that....anyways, my little guy is turning 2 here in October and I am already planning the damn thing! Fire Truck theme is what we are going with...I mean, how cute is this?

My dude loves him some fire trucks! Plus, since I have the fire department hook up, the fire truck will be making an appearance!  (hubs is a firefighter, and yes, he's brought home the gear ;)

3.  Speaking of hot, it has been crazy hot here in the beautiful state of Florida. One of those states where it says its only going to be 85 or 90 too but it feels like 120 freaking degrees! So with that & the pain in my neck, the extra poundage I put on in Key West has been hard to shed . So I've been having to eat really well to make up for it, and proud to say that I'm already down 3 of those 5 pounds, woohoo!

4. I'm in a couple of fitness groups on Facebook and one of them, the other day, someone posted about how they give themselves incentive for losing the pounds and I thought it was a brilliant idea so I'm going to start doing it starting today! She has a jar and every pound that she loses she put $10 in it, so at the end of it all when she hits her goal, which my goal is 40 pounds to lose, you then take that money and go on a shopping spree. I I love this idea because of course in 40 pounds I'm going to need a new wardrobe and instead of worrying I'm not going to have the cash for it then, I'll just save up for it. So that'll give me $400 to go shopping with & I am super stoked!!! I'll be buying a lot of Kiki LaRue with that money, lol. It is true, you do you become sort of an addict with their stuff. Everything that I've purchased has fit me perfectly and I've had no problems. If you're not sure who they are head on over to Becca's shop and tell her I sent you. Right now she's having a huge warehouse clearance sale!

5. And last but not least, I was thinking about making a video of my workouts. I've had a couple requests but I'm not sure what the consensus is, so if you'd be interested in seeing a video of my workouts, whether it's my classes that I take or what I do at the gym on my own or even what I do at home,  let me know! Just leave me a comment below and I'll start working on the video for you guys. Also,  if there's ever a recipe you'd like me to try or skinny up let me know that too. I'm always willing to try new things and I love being in the kitchen.

Happy Friday everyone and make it a great weekend!

  1. Awesome that those vacay lbs are nearly gone. I like the idea of putting money away for a new wardrobe. I actually talk about needing to go shopping for a new closet full of clothes in today's post. It's a must at this point. I hope that lymph node clears up for you soon.

  2. Love the party theme! We want to do that theme when Mason gets a little older. My husband is also a fireman. I am on the department, but more of an EMT/secretary to the Chief. Mason is always around Fire & EMS so that theme is definitely in my plans :)

I love Kiki La Rue too :)

  3. Another Morgan! Stopping in from Five on Friday! Love the firetruck theme. My little guy just turned 3 and we did the construction theme. Last year I did Lego theme for my oldest. Gotta love Pinterest for all the inspiration!
